Downers Grove South won the last time they faced Proviso East and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pirates.

Downers Grove South not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Proviso East between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16.

Downers Grove South's win bumped their record up to 12-18. As for Proviso East, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Downers Grove South will square off against Glenbard West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hilltoppers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Proviso East, they will face off against ACERO Garcia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
