Basketball Game Preview: Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons vs. Kenesaw Blue Devils

Wilcox-Hildreth is 8-2 against Kenesaw since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Kenesaw Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. Wilcox-Hildreth's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Kenesaw's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Wilcox-Hildreth is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 55-7 victory over Harvard. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-2.

It was another big night for Madison Bunger, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 18 points and seven steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Bunger, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Kenesaw strolled past Hampton with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 37-21.

Wilcox-Hildreth better keep an eye on Avery Kelley. She was instrumental in Kenesaw's win, putting up nine points along with eight steals and six boards. Those eight steals gave Kelley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Schukei, who had eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Wilcox-Hildreth has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Kenesaw, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Wilcox-Hildreth beat Kenesaw 26-13 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Wilcox-Hildreth have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kenesaw turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
