Basketball Recap: Columbia Sets Scoring Season-High Against Oakwood Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia). They came out on top against the Oakwood Academy Mustangs by a score of 51-38 on Thursday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 45-40 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Oakwood Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joanna Caldwell, who shot 42% from the field en route to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bruklyn Dublin, who posted 14 points.

Columbia's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Columbia will square off against Huntsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakwood Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-38 defeat against Skyline on the 15th.
