Lanesville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hylton Brumley, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ava Kerr, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Despite the defeat, Trinity Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: Marley Warren scored 20 points.
Trinity Lutheran struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lanesville pulled down 13 offensive rebounds.
Lanesville pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.67 points. As for Trinity Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Lanesville will head out on the road to face off against Eastern at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eastern has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Trinity Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Brown County at 7:30 p.m.
