Olivia Aznarez was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahira Lynch, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Palo Verde's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Palo Verde will take on Canyon Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will square off against Durango at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
