On the hitting side, Olympian's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Josh Alo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Hector Peralta also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Olympian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Lincoln hadn't done well against Morse recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lincoln was the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over Morse. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.
Julio Ojeda was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Ojeda was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024.
In other batting news, Max Seville was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Isiah Kellough, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Olympian's record is now 6-1-1. As for Lincoln, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.
Lincoln's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Olympian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330.
