The Yosemite Badgers won the last time they faced the Minarets Mustangs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Yosemite came out on top against Minarets by a score of 37-25. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Yosemite.
Yosemite can attribute much of their success to Jadyn Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Yosemite's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Bullock, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Yosemite now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Minarets, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yosemite will take on Mariposa County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mariposa County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Minarets, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Laton at 6:00 p.m. Laton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
