Stargate School kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 62-46 fall against the D'Evelyn Jaguars. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
Despite the loss, Stargate School still got an impressive performance from Jeremy Hartemink, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 18 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Warrner, who posted seven points and six rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Blake Colehour, who put up 11 points along with seven assists and four steals. Those 11 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kai Burmeister, who went 6-for-9 en route to 12 points and five boards.
Coming up, Stargate School will square off against Englewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for D'Evelyn, they will face off against Denver West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
