Woodbridge is 2-8 against Forest Park since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Bruins at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Forest Park will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Woodbridge extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Vikings put the hurt on Potomac Senior with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Woodbridge took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodbridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caroline Freeman, who had 15 digs and six aces. That's the most aces Freeman has posted since back in September. Mikayla Ramey was another key player, getting 13 digs.
Meanwhile, Forest Park made easy work of Freedom on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Forest Park was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-6.
Forest Park found their leader in sophomore Alexa Eggleton, who had ten aces and six assists.
They weren't the only good servers: Forest Park was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 32 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Woodbridge's victory bumped their record up to 14-6-1. As for Forest Park, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
