The Milton Panthers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past North Bay Haven Academy with points to spare, taking the game 63-44. Given Milton's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while North Bay Haven Academy is ranked 658th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Treymar Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The contest was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Christopher Jaylen mckinley, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Milton's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milton and Fort Walton Beach will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fort Walton Beach is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. North Bay Haven Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Wakulla at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
