The Hillcrest Panthers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Adamson with a sharp 31-11 win on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hillcrest also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2021.
Hillcrest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asher Randall, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacoby Ogbonna, who picked up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Adamson, their loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Hillcrest will face off against Spruce at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Adamson, they will take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
