Football Recap: Kosciusko Piles Up the Points Against Rosa Fort

With a playoff win on the line, Kosciusko rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Rosa Fort Lions, posting a 58-10 victory. The Whippets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

A big part of Kosciusko's win came down to the chemistry between Caiden Wade and his top target Jontavious Roundtree. Wade threw for 177 yards and three TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes while Roundtree gained 123 total yards and three touchdowns. What's more, Wade racked up 159.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. Jonterrious Herron got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Kosciusko didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mylan Johnson-Herron and Herron. Herron got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Kosciusko's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.6 points. As for Rosa Fort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Kosciusko will venture away from home to square off against Itawamba Agricultural at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rosa Fort does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
