Hill Freedman World Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Olney by a score of 61-52 on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hill Freedman World Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaiden Copeland, who dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 steals. Another player making a difference was Amaad Lyles, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 10 assists, and 10 steals.
Hill Freedman World Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Olney, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hill Freedman World Academy will square off against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olney, they will head out on the road to face off against Frankford at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Frankford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
