Baseball Recap: Pensacola Catholic Wins Going Away Against Blanchard

Pensacola Catholic's hitters rose to the challenge against a Lions pitching crew that boasted an average of only 1.75 runs allowed on Wednesday. The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders blew past the Blanchard Lions 12-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Pensacola Catholic got a great performance from Kole King as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

At the plate, Pensacola Catholic let Ben Bates and Colton Guillot run wild. Bates went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Guillot scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Bates a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhyland Richards, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Pensacola Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pensacola Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Blanchard, they moved to 7-1 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
