The Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines are taking a road trip to face off against the Buford Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Prince Avenue Christian: 2.5, Buford: 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Buford will be up against a hot Prince Avenue Christian team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went Prince Avenue Christian's way against Lake Oconee Academy on Tuesday as Prince Avenue Christian made off with a 9-2 victory. With that win, the Wolverines brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Luke Burnett made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
In other pitching news, Prince Avenue Christian got a great performance from Bryson Towler as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Towler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Judson Hartwell was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Drew Payne was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double.
Prince Avenue Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Buford entered their tilt with Walker on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Wolverines.
Prince Avenue Christian pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Buford, their record is now 6-2.
