Lewis-Palmer hasn't had much luck against Mead recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Rangers will challenge the Mavericks at 1:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
Lewis-Palmer is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 70-12 victory over Pueblo Centennial. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lewis-Palmer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Hamer, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of scores. Those 85 rushing yards gave Hamer a new career-high. Logan Aggers was in the mix as well, providing Lewis-Palmer with three touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lewis-Palmer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Lewis-Palmer, adding 16 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Greg Moore, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Mead never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Niwot last Thursday. They really took it to the Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-7 victory. That looming 67-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mavericks yet this season.
Lewis-Palmer better keep an eye on Noah Chapala. He was instrumental in Mead's win, rushing for 154 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries. Joe Klatt was another key player, throwing for 156 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Lewis-Palmer's record now sits at 6-4. As for Mead, their record is now 8-2.
Saturday's game might be decided on the ground. Lewis-Palmer has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 267.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Mead struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 222.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Lewis-Palmer took a serious blow against Mead in their previous meeting back in September, falling 50-9. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Mavericks' Ethan Elmore, who threw for 221 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushed for 80 yards on only six carries.
