The Boquet Valley Griffins put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Peru with points to spare, taking the game 75-61. Given Boquet Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Peru is ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Boquet Valley was led to victory by Bode Buehler and Jackson Hooper. Buehler scored 21 points, while Hooper dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. Buehler also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Ben Burdo, who scored eight points along with seven assists.
Boquet Valley pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Peru, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
