Frank Pedone made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. In other batting news, Trey Newton was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Londyn Hernandez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
North Pocono's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. North Pocono took their win against Delaware Valley in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 10-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
