Oak Ridge is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will take on the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. Oak Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Granite Bay's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Oak Ridge had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Vista del Lago on Tuesday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Paratore, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Emery Glaser was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Oak Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Granite Bay and Ponderosa faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Grizzlies fell 8-3 to the Bruins. The contest marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Granite Bay saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reese Litherland, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Sami McKown also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Granite Bay now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Oak Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
Granite Bay's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oak Ridge has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for Granite Bay, though, as they've been averaging 10.4 hits. Given Oak Ridge's sizable advantage in that area, the Grizzlies will need to find a way to close that gap.
Oak Ridge skirted past Granite Bay 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
