Joliet has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Huntley Project Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Joliet on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Colstrip out of the water with a 51-6 final score. With Joliet ahead 21-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Tucker Lind was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Another big playmaker for Joliet was Townes Catron, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Huntley Project fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They beat Roundup/Melstone on Friday by the very same score they won with last week: 62-8. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Huntley Project just coasted through the last quarter.
Huntley Project's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tucker Kaczmarek, who rushed for 28 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Sorlie, who gained 105 total yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Joliet to 4-3 and Huntley Project to 6-4.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Joliet commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 4.6 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Huntley Project struggles in that department as they've been even better at 4.8 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
