ORINDA, Calif. -
Miramonte (Orinda, Calif.) snapped the four-game winning streak of
Tennyson (Hayward, Calif.), with a 54-25 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Ray Clark in the first quarter, the Matadors led 27-13 at the half.
Miramonte expanded its lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Clark.
With the win the Orinda school extended its winning streak to five games. Miramonte defeated Alhambra 56-28 last week.
The Matadors also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-7.
The loss comes after Tennyson defeated San Lorenzo 26-20 last week.
