The Cheney RVT Beavers waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They really took it to Goodwin Tech for the full four quarters, racking up a 94-56 victory at home. Cheney RVT has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Dam'nic Gittens, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 13 rebounds. He also posted eight assists for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Roose Orbe, who scored eight points along with ten steals.
Cheney RVT's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Goodwin Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
