Make it six blowout wins for the Banneker Bulldogs this season. They were the clear victor by a 43-17 margin over School Without Walls. The win was just what Banneker needed coming off of a 57-32 loss in their prior game.
Banneker found their leader in underclassman Promise Njoku, who scored 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Njoku has scored at least a third of Banneker's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Malcolm, who scored eight points.
Banneker's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5. As for School Without Walls, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Banneker will be playing at home against Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Eastern is ranked fourth, while Banneker is ranked ninth). School Without Walls will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coolidge at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th.
