Hoehne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Zamora, who scored nine points along with seven assists and four steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Jayson Guzzo was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Swallows Charter Academy saw an underclassman step up: Charles Perry scored 20 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Perry scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Garcia, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Hoehne now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
