The Thorndale Bulldogs will face off against the Moody Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thorndale is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
The home team had come away the winner the last six times Thorndale and Holland had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs blew past the Hornets 49-13 on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Hudson Thigpen had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 162 yards and four TDs on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was Cole Harkins, who rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Thorndale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holland only rushed for 127.
Meanwhile, Moody hadn't done well against Marlin recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bearcats took down the Bulldogs 22-7.
A big part of Moody's victory came down to the chemistry between Lee Womack and his top target Caleb Stinson. Womack threw for 212 yards and a pair of TDs while Stinson picked up 115 receiving yards and one score. Stinson got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 66 yards. A healthy portion of Womack's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) also went to Hayden Stinson.
