Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial lost to Corona on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huskies came up short against the Panthers, falling 9-3. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Centennial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Simpson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Simpson is becoming a predictor of the Huskies' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 5-11 when he doesn't). Devin Bishop was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Corona, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centennial will challenge rival King at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Corona is set to take on their familiar foe Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
