The Life Christian Academy Eagles will head out to challenge the Brunswick Academy Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Life Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Brunswick Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Life Christian Academy barely beat Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Life Christian Academy got a great performance from JJ Jimenez as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Jimenez also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Eagles are 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Noah Whitney was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Brandon Dorin was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Life Christian Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Brunswick Academy entered their game against Kenston Forest on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings came up short against the Kavaliers, falling 24-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.
Brunswick Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Wells, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Life Christian Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Brunswick Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Life Christian Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Brunswick Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Life Christian Academy continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Life Christian Academy's way against Brunswick Academy in their previous matchup back in March, as Life Christian Academy made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
