Basketball Recap: Piedmont Community Charter's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Piedmont Community Charter entered their tilt with Lake Norman Charter on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 74-67 victory over the Knights.

Piedmont Community Charter was led to victory by TJ Biggers and Henry Peprah. Biggers went 5-for-9 en route to 26 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Peprah dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. That's the most points Peprah has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathan Austin, who put up ten points along with six boards and three steals.

Piedmont Community Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

Piedmont Community Charter's record now sits at 5-1. As for Lake Norman Charter, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Piedmont Community Charter and Lake Norman Charter will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Patriots see the court they'll take on Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Lake Norman Charter, their break will end when they face Concord at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
