The biggest upset of the week belonged to Valhalla, who took down 96th ranked Grossmont, 39-28.
Helix extended the longest winning streak in Grossmont - Hills this week by beating West Hills, 35-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
The Foothillers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anthony Lawrence threw for 301 and one touchdown and Christian Brooks had 108 yards receiving. On the ground Marlon Lampart chipped in 172 yards. Brett Stone helped Grossmont's passing attack out by catching eight balls for 65 yards.
Grossmont's Lawrence and Jeff Bowers have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lawrence has thrown for 2143 yards this season, while Bowers, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 39 catches for 591 yards. Eric Seaboch from the Wolf Pack leads the league in rushing with 591 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Grossmont takes on second place Helix. Last week, Thomas Karlo's team lost to the Norsemen, while Helix topped West Hills.
Two of the top units in Grossmont - Hills will face off this week when the Foothillers take on Troy Starr's team. Grossmont's offense has recorded 300 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Highlanders have permitted only 35 on the year.
Steele Canyon took down Granite Hills 45-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
