The Clover Blue Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 77-42 victory over York. Considering Clover has won three matches by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Clover got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylon Hoover out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Hunter Decuir, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why York lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Rampey. Despite the final result, he scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Burris, who scored six points.
Clover's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for York, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.
Clover will head out on the road to face off against South Mecklenburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. York will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Philip Simmons at 10:30 a.m. on December 28th.
