Robinson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Robinson Bulldogs and the East Mecklenburg Eagles will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Hopefully Robinson is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Mecklenburg in North Carolina (Robinson is ranked 35th, while East Mecklenburg is ranked 459th).
Even though Robinson has not done well against Northwest Cabarrus recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Robinson walked away with a 54-47 victory over Northwest Cabarrus.
Robinson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camri Hobbs out in front who scored 15 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hobbs has scored at least 25% of Robinson's points. Ella Hobbs was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, East Mecklenburg was beaten by Butler 60-12 last Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Mecklenburg has scored all season.
Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for East Mecklenburg, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Robinson came up short against East Mecklenburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 39-34. Can Robinson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
