The Grace Christian Academy Cougars had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 53-30 walloping at the hands of Miller County. Grace Christian Academy lost against Miller County in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 33-32 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Grace Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ali Roberts. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals.
Hannah Cratic had a dynamite game for Miller County, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zariyona Williams, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Grace Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Miller County, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will challenge Sherwood Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Miller County, they will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
