The Moffat County Bulldogs were the 54-45 winner over the Summit Tigers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Moffat County took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Summit on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Moffat County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ian Champ hafey, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Bryant Carlson, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Moffat County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Summit, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moffat County will take on Delta at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Delta is ranked 167th, while Moffat County is ranked 153rd). As for Summit, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Steamboat Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Steamboat Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
