The Cypress Creek Coyotes were the 53-40 winner over the Zephyrhills Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Cypress Creek suffered a tough 72-49 defeat at the hands of Zephyrhills on Wednesday. Cypress Creek has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Cypress Creek still got an impressive performance from Caleb Edmonds, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Edmonds scored 15 or more points. Jalen Medina was another key contributor, scoring two points along with four steals.
Cypress Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Zephyrhills, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek will take on Anclote at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anclote has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Zephyrhills, they will head out on the road to face off against Land O' Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
