Section 8 Conference IV recap November 13, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Valley Stream North, who took down 480th ranked Locust Valley, 41-27.
Roosevelt added to the longest winning streak in Section 8 Conference IV this week by beating North Shore, 46-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Clarke's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Aaron Dawson chipped in 64 yards.
Dawson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Rams lost to Seaford.
Dawson was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 64 yards on 6 carries as Clarke lost to the Vikings. Teammate Joe Truono added to the ground attack by rushing for 49 yards.
John Boyle's team's Peter Falgione and Nestor Haddo led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Falgione has thrown for 459 yards this season, while Haddo has 10 catches for 325 yards. Island Trees's John Pascalli leads the league in rushing yards with 492.
As it stands, the Spartans are in fourth, while Roosevelt is in first.
Carle Place was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to seventh in Section 8 Conference IV.
