1A District 8 recap November 5, 2013
Crescent City extended the longest winning streak in 1A District 8 this week by beating Taylor, 46-7. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
The Wildcats lost to Crescent City 46-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jamie Knox was a bright spot for Taylor, as he ran for 82 yards in the loss.
Antuarn Williams' team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Knox contributed 82 yards.
Knox provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Wildcats fell to the Raiders.
Knox was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Matt Henry added to the ground attack by rushing for 25 yards.
Taylor's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Henry has thrown for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Cameron Schoppert has 4 catches for 97 yards.
Crescent City led the league in scoring this week by notching 46 points on Taylor.
