Homer and Boone Central squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Homer had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Taiah Bird paced Homer's offense, picking up ten kills. Bird got some help from Madi Roeber and her 25 assists. Roeber was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Boone Central was led to victory by Brooklyn Primrose and Tresdyn Stephens. Primrose had four digs and three aces, while Stephens had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Primrose has posted since back in September.

Homer's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Boone Central, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Homer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boone Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Clarkson/Leigh on the 28th.
