Softball Recap: Foothill Extends Winning Streak to Five

Foothill waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Del Oro Suns with a sharp 16-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-10 on Tuesday.

Foothill got a massive performance out of Erika Segura, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Segura has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Becker, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Foothill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .404 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Foothill's record now sits at 5-11. As for Del Oro, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
