The Susquehanna Township HANNA will head out to face off against the Trinity Shamrocks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Trinity will be up against a hot Susquehanna Township team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The HANNA blew past Milton Hershey 13-1 on Thursday. The HANNA might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

Ben Witters made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Brayden Hertz was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ayden Fallows was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Susquehanna Township was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity). They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Harrisburg on Thursday. With that victory, the Shamrocks brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.
Jacob Varner looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Gavin Myers was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Trent Zoellner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Trinity's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Susquehanna Township, their record is now 8-3.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Susquehanna Township hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Trinity struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Susquehanna Township couldn't quite get it done against Trinity in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 12-7. Can the HANNA avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
