McLean is a perfect 4-0 against George C. Marshall since September of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. McLean is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
On Monday, McLean earned a 3-1 win over Langley.
McLean walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 22-25, 25-18, 25-18.
McLean found their leader in sophomore Jose Eslinger, who had seven digs and two aces.
McLean was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, George C. Marshall made easy work of Mount Vernon on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.
One reason for the win was George C. Marshall's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-11.
McLean's record now sits at 9-1. As for George C. Marshall, their record is now 10-4.
Everything went McLean's way against George C. Marshall when the teams last played back in September, as McLean made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Highlanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Statesmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
