In what's become a running theme this season, the Clairton Bears gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They blew past Frazier, posting a 63-27 win on the road. Given Clairton's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Frazier is ranked 583rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Iyanna Wade, who scored 43 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clairton's points. Another player making a difference was J Childs, who scored ten points.
Clairton's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Frazier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Clairton will face off against Winchester Thurston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Frazier, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against California at 7:00 p.m.
