COVINGTON, La. -
Northlake Christian (Covington, La.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 20-7 victory over
Archbishop Hannan (Covington, La.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Taylor Mussachia in the first quarter, the Wolverines led 21-6 at the half.
Archbishop Hannan's only touchdown came on an 8-yard pass from
Korey Zeigler to
Daniel Hollander in the first quarter.
Northlake Christian went into the matchup giving up only 10.1 points per game. The seven points that the Hawks ended with were well below their average of 30.6 coming into the game.
The loss comes after Archbishop Hannan defeated Springfield 45-21 last week.
Northlake Christian (8-0) will play a 2A District 8 game against Pine next week, while Archbishop Hannan (6-2) will take on St. Helena Central also in a 2A District 8 game.
