The Evergreen Christian Eagles stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They really took it to Covenant Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 98-23 win on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Evergreen Christian has managed all season.
Evergreen Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Cook, who went 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cook has scored all season. Cole Forbrich was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and eight steals.
When it comes to explaining why Covenant Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Caleb Bazill. Despite the final result, he scored seven points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Covenant Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Evergreen Christian racked up 31 assists.
Evergreen Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

As for Covenant Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Northern Virginia HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northern Virginia HomeSchool presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Covenant Christian Academy in Virginia (Northern Virginia HomeSchool is ranked 117th, while Covenant Christian Academy is ranked 270th).
