The Coal Ridge Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-30 defeat at the hands of Delta. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coal Ridge in their matchups with Delta: they've now lost nine in a row.
Coal Ridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brilee Jensen, who scored eight points, and Riley Cheney who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Leading Delta to victory were Kylie Huff and Breezy Huff. Huff scored 15 points along with two steals, while Huff scored 15 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Huff has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolee Robinson, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Coal Ridge has fallen quite a ways from their 16-8 record last season and are now at 4-9. As for Delta, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Rifle the next time they take the court. Delta will head out to face Rifle at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Coal Ridge will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
