Football Recap: Paschal Piles Up the Points Against Trimble Tech

Paschal won the last time they faced Trimble Tech and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 61-21. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 38 points or more this season.

Paschal found their leader in sophomore Truman Shelton, who rushed for 160 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries. Shelton's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Hudson Avery also helped out with an impressive 124 receiving yards.

Paschal's run defense was locked in: Trimble Tech could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Sam Williams for the heroic effort on defense: he. Paschal didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.

Paschal's record is now 6-3. As for Trimble Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Paschal will be playing at home against Arlington Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Trimble Tech, they are taking a road trip to take on North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Steers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
