The Covington Lions will head out on the road to take on the Northshore Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covington is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Covington was beaten by the Tigers 84-52.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Northshore had to settle for a 47-45 defeat against the Tornadoes on Friday. Northshore has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Covington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Northshore, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Covington ended up a good deal behind the Panthers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, losing 55-41. Can Covington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
