The Grayson County Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the George Wythe Maroons at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grayson County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Gillespie, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. It was the first time this season that Gillespie pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mac Goad, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, George Wythe gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Giles, posting a 77-27 victory at home. Given George Wythe's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Giles is ranked 376th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grayson County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for George Wythe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Grayson County was dealt a bruising 70-18 loss at the hands of George Wythe when the teams last played two weeks ago. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Grayson County was down 43-11.
