The Cheney RVT Beavers stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Grasso Tech for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-46 win on the road. The win was nothing new for Cheney RVT as they're now sitting on three straight.
Dam'nic Gittens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 24 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mohamed Camara, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Despite the loss, Grasso Tech still got an impressive performance from Nick Stavesky, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Charis Johnson, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Cheney RVT pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.8 points per game. As for Grasso Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheney RVT will challenge Enfield at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grasso Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Putnam at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
