2A District 2 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Justin Hamilton of Hancock County ran for the longest rushing play in 2A District 2 this season against Ballard Memorial last week. Hamilton ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 251 on the day as his team bested the Bombers.
Owensboro Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Crittenden County, 58-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Aces.
Hancock County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hamilton threw for 20 and one touchdown and Beau Case had 20 yards receiving.
Hancock County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Koert Morris has thrown for 959 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Case has nine catches for 275 yards. Hamilton leads the league in rushing with 1602 yards.
Owensboro Catholic took down the Rockets 58-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
