There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. A special shoutout goes to Kenton's senior Jaron Sharp, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
Hilliard Darby got a 38 - 14 win over Thomas Worthington last week, and a key reason for the win was sophomore Connor Jones. Jones ran for 222 yards and also punched in three touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Jones as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Reynoldsburg (4th in the power rankings) and Lincoln (6th). Reynoldsburg was close but no cigar, losing to Lincoln 10 - 7. Reynoldsburg unfortunately couldn't repeat the imposing 33-point effort it came up with in its previous game.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another outing, another win last week for the team with the longest stretch of success (eight consecutive games). The game was as close as could be, but Tri-Valley ended up on top with a 20 - 19 over Sheridan. The win boosted Tri-Valley a satisfying 12 spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Hilliard Davidson (3rd in the power rankings) and Dublin Coffman (2nd). Both teams are rolling into the game after last-week wins. Of course, Hilliard Davidson and Dublin Coffman can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Friday which team falters and which extends its success.
